Do Not Call List FOIA Requests

Today, the Chicago Justice Project filed several requests under the Illinois Freedom of Information Act with the Cook County State’s Attorney’s Office (SAO) seeking records related to the Do Not Call List. This is a list of officers whom the SAO has deemed to have credibility issues to such a degree that the office will no longer call them as witnesses in cases in which they are involved. This list was created during the tenure of former Cook County State’s Attorney Kim Foxx and ended recently under the newly elected State’s Attorney Eileen O’Neill Burke.

Tracy has nearly two decades of experience researching and working within criminal justice systems. When Tracy began pursuing a career dedicate to system reform, he found that no single organization existed to promote evidence-based discussions among law enforcement agencies and the communities they serve. Recognizing that citizens in Chicago deserved the right to demand transparency in their criminal justice system, Siska established the Chicago Justice Project. He received his Master of Arts degree in Criminal Justice at the University of Illinois at Chicago.
