Our Justice Media Project is focused on capturing, tracking, and analyzing media coverage of crime and violence in Chicago. We seek to reform the coverage of these vital issues so that they more adequately reflect media coverage of how these issues actually occur in our city.
Gun Violence Interactive Board
Serving as a fact-based counterweight to sensationalized media coverage and as a highly credible resource for deep analysis about the state of gun violence in Chicago. The rigorous methodology and analyses used as the basis for the GVID will be grounded in the gun violence research literature, but visualized in an accessible way so that it serves to empower community members, policymakers, journalists, and advocates.
Chicago Justice Podcast
This is our Chicago Justice Podcast that covers crime, violence, and justice issues in Chicago. We will feature deep dives in to justice system data, interview with researchers and justice system reform advocates, as well as evaluations of justice system practices.
