Andrea Zopp is set to be named the newest member of the Chicago Police Board on Friday, pending a City Council meeting.
The document obtained by The Chicago Justice Project on Wednesday appears to confirm a Nov. 17 meeting at 9:45 a.m. The meeting will take place in Room 201A, second floor of City Hall.
The meeting had not been publicized by Mayor Rahm Emanuel’s office at the time of publication.
At 4:56 p.m. on Wednesday, the Chicago Justice Project was able to speak to a member of Emanuel’s press team. The spokesperson for the mayor’s office said that they could not yet confirm anything, but would try to follow up Wednesday evening.
At the time of publication The Chicago Justice Project had not received a response from the mayor’s office confirming or denying the meeting in regards to Andrea Zopp.

Andrea Zopp has worn many hats in the city of Chicago, including membership on the Chicago Public School Board, deputy mayor, and most recently CEO of World Business Chicago. The last two positions both earn six-figure salaries and both were Emanuel’s appointments.
