Deposition about the CPD Practice of "Roundtables"
Here you will find transcripts about the Chicago Police Department's practice of conducting roundtables. After each officer involved shooting the Chicago Police Department conducted a "roundtable" that hypothetically was to allow authorities within the Department the ability to quickly access all the facts and communicate to the public if the shooting was justified. Many complaints have been lodged at this practice from community members that say they were coerced into providing statements to the Department at these roundtables and then were locked into stories about the shootings that were not true. You can read more about CJP's take on this practice on our blog post titled "Round Tables and the Aaron Harrison Shooting:"
